Specialized Experience: For the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position.

More specifically, specialized experience must include performing at leasttwo (2) of the following three (3) duties or work assignments:n1.Knowledge ofinvestigation and compliance principles, concepts, and practices in addressing complex cases.n2.

Selecting, adapting, and applying investigation and negotiation techniques.n3.

Researching, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data and information.nSpecialized Experience: For the GS-13 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position.

More specifically, specialized experience must include performing at leasttwo (2) of the following three (3) duties or work assignments:n1.

Knowledge of statutes, regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to student assistance programs.n2.

Interpreting complex laws and regulationsn3.

Recognizing and resolving discrepancies and/or inconsistencies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).
