This position has a selective placement factor This position requires the incumbent to be a registered Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: Applying geotechnical and civil engineering methods, techniques, procedures and practices in the design and development for a wide variety of facility types; professional application of airfield geometrics, materials and criteria; Reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for projects prepared by private architect and engineer design firms for completeness, functionally and sound engineering practice.
