You will serve as an ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Environmental Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

To be considered for GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing environmental standards, specifications, and plans of complex projects and collaborating with planners and designers in order to ensure compliance with environmental requirements; 2) Conducting site investigations and surveys and collaborating with customers and other organizations to resolve environmental compliance concerns; 3) Coordinating with environmental regulatory agencies regarding interpretation and interpretation and applicability of compliance requirements; 4) Gathering and submitting technical information in support of data calls, taskers, environmental submissions, and reports in assessing program effectiveness; and 5) Conducting detailed analysis of proposed regulations of integrating environmental factors to improve operational processes and procedures.
