This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.

"This position is open to all U.S.

Citizens", This position is located in the Great Plains Area Regional Drug Dependency Unit (GPARDDU), Winnebago, NE.

The purpose of this position is to assist the GPARDDU in extending the scope of services provide by the mental health team and provide efficient and timely behavioral health services to clients to which we provide services.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:nYour resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Specialized Experience GS-5: 1 year of specialized experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

This specialized experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement.

Examples Include:Ability to assess and react to adults with mental health and substance abuse issues, able to use de-escalation techniques if needed, able to respond to clients using situational awareness.

Ability to maintain healthy boundaries when dealing with adults who have mental health and substance abuse histories.

Able to conduct simple first aid, including blood pressures, pulse and temp.

Able to transport if needed.

Able to recognize mental health disease behaviors {anxiety, depression, delusions}.

Time In GradenTime-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
