This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates at the GS-13 level only.

The selective placement factor is: This position requires current registration as a Professional Engineer by any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.

NOTE: You must submit a copy of your license with your application.

For the GS-13 Level, in addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical engineering guidance on the operation and maintenance of building service equipment (e.g.

HVAC, electrical, elevator, fire prevention systems); 2) Reviewing commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) designs for compliance with applicable codes and sound engineering practice; 3) Evaluating and mitigating component failures of building service equipment.
