Job Summary The Boiler Kids Camp counselor will be responsible for the safety and well-being of campers during the operational hours of camp and any special event outside the normal business hours. They will assist the Head Counselors, Camp Coordinator, and Assistant Director of Reservations and Summer Camp with implementing daily activities and games designed to develop social, physical, and intellectual skills. Camp counselors will have one week of training at the end of May and 7 weeks of camp (June 1-July 24, with the week of June 29 off).
Essential Functions: Youth Development Activity Management & Supervision Teaching and Instruction Required Qualifications: Valid American Red Cross (or equivalent) Adult & Child CPR/AED for the Layperson, Standard First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification or ability to obtain upon hire Valid Working with Minors Certification through Purdue University Web Certification or ability to obtain upon hire Valid Climbing Wall Belay Certification or ability to obtain upon hire Experience working with children preferred Education 0Experience 0FLSA Status Non-Exempt
