As an Equipment Specialist, you will provide nationwide support to customers and other fleet personnel through a national maintenance control system that handles repair problems for regional government-owned vehicles.nLocation of position: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Duty station to be determined.

Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone (EST)nWe are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Driver's License required.nThe GS-09 salary range starts at $54,727.00 per year, if you meet the following qualifications.

You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to federal sector GS-07 level.nSpecialized experience isexperience gained in the automotive field.

This could have been gained working as a skilled auto mechanic, auto repair part sales, service/tech writer or in other automotive fields.

Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service must have involved performing the following types of duties: guiding in the process of securing cost effective vehicle repairs; insuring compliance of contract agreements with contractors for repair services & supplies; evaluating & advising management on customers' complaints about vehicle & vendor performance; determining fairness of repair estimates.ORnHave a master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B.

or JD, in a field related to this position.

OR possess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
