Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 equivalent grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 equivalent grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position.

More specifically, specialized experience must include performing at least two (2) of the following three (3) duties or work assignments: 1.

Comprehensive knowledge of the federal regulations and statutes governing the federal student aid programs.n2.

Ability to exercise independent judgment along with the expert skill to plan, organize, supervise and direct the work of programs/projects pertaining to the oversight of institutions participating in the he federal student aid programs.n3.

Knowledge in the application of a wide range of qualitative and or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of federal student aid program effectiveness and the improvement of complex management processes and systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)nThe quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs).

Ability to plan coordinate, and direct the work of one or more teams which effectively and efficiently accomplishes organization goalsnKnowledge of a comprehensive range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of the federal student aid programsnKnowledge in the application of a wide range of qualitative and or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of complex management processes and systems.nSkills to effectively and efficiently communicate verbally and written with all departments and grade levels, from the lowest levels to senior leadership.
