This position is located in the U.S.

Department of Education (ED), Federal Student Aid (FSA), Partner Participation & Oversight (PPO) Partner Eligibility & Oversight Service Directorate.

(PEOSD), School Eligibility Oversight Service Group (SEOSG).The SEOSGis responsible for the oversight services of eligible postsecondary Title IV schools and their servicers.

Selective Placement FactornYou must meet the following selective placement factor:nCandidate must have a current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and certificate (as required by their state)nMinimum Qualification Requirementsn,that%20provided%20professional%20accounting%20knowledge.nSpecialized Experience for the GS-14One year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 performing at least two (2) of the following three (3) duties or work assignments:1.

Expert level experience with applying accounting/auditing standards and comprehensive knowledge of federal financial responsibility standards.2.

Expert level experience which focused extensively on the review and analysis of matters involving various forensic accounting, fraud investigations and asset tracing activities.3.

Expert level experience in fact-finding, problem-solving, writing and consulting, to identify complex financial problems and recommend solutions tailored to the needs of various organization components.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).

Authoritative knowledge with regard to accounting and financial practices, national securities, banking laws and systems, conventional and non-conventional financial institutions, and national and international businesses.2.

Skilled in researching, analyzing and interpreting regulations to formulate recommendations and writing to substantiate findings of noncompliance and liability assessment.3.

Ability to communicate complex issues related to accounting methodologies.
