The Flight System Manager for the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Project Office is assigned to the Space Flight Systems Directorate at NASA Glenn Research Center.

If selected, you will oversee and manage the design, development, test and evaluation of the PPE Flight System for Gateway Concept with oversight of the in-house and contracted efforts.

You will manage the work of subsystem Managers in various disciplines across multiple interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: leading teams in complex environments with multiple stakeholders involving high visibility and/or value space projects; establishing and working with cross-institutional teams; identifying and addressing complex project and project team risks and problems, including technical, cost and schedule; developing and testing hardware for NASA space missions; and managing contracted activities.
