The primary purpose of this position is to provide a student trainee in the summer hire program with on-the-job training and guidance.

The student trainee will perform somewhat difficult and responsible clerical work in office, business, or fiscal operations.

EDUCATION: You must currently be enrolled in school.

You must meet the following education for appropriate grade level.

Failure to submit transcripts and proof of enrollment will result in an ineligible rating.

GS-03 grade level: Completion of 30 semester hours or more of post high school study leading towards a qualifying degree (i.e.

associate's, bachelor's, master's, etc.) in a qualifying field.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

NOTE: This is an open continuous announcement and will be used to fill vacancies as openings occur.
