**Adjunct Lecturer in Projection Design**
The University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Lighting Design starting August 15, 2022 with classes beginning August 22nd.

**Reports to:** Dean, Chair of Design
**Responsibilities:** Adjunct Lecturer is responsible for instructing, advising and mentoring BA and BFA students in the Production and Design cohort. This part-time position includes 1-2 courses per semester. Courses include Projection Design I and II, as well as some classes among the following depending on the candidate’s qualifications: Introduction to Theatrical Production, Advanced Theatrical Production, Vectorworks, and Stage Lighting. The Adjunct Lecturer may be asked to design or mentor on a departmental production if availability arises.
**Compensation:** Hourly rate negotiable based on experience.
**Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience in the professional arena, 3-5 years as a professional designer with significant, demonstrable ties to at least one theatre and demonstrable interest in equity, diversity, and inclusion. Required skills include conceptualization, various communication and organizational techniques used in lighting design, text study, and advanced knowledge of projection equipment, system design, programming, and current software used professionally.
**Preferred Qualifications:** With an MFA and/or equivalent experience in the profession, the successful candidate has 3 years teaching experience at a college level, 5 or more years of professional experience with national credentials. The ideal applicant will have skills and advanced knowledge in any number of the following in addition to what was listed above; history of lighting and/or projection design, lighting design, lighting equipment, and programming lighting.
