You will serve as a Supervisory Police Officer in the Force Protection, Operations, Commander Navy Installations Command Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Reviews incident, investigative, arrest and other operational reports; 2)Presents information to the public, superiors, and less experienced/juniornpersonnel in various situations to include court testimony or other administrative proceedings; 3)Conducting preliminary and ongoing investigations of incidents ranging from simple rule violations to felony and capital crimes within prescribed limitations4) Using techniques, policies, equipment and procedures to regulate traffic flow.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work requires extended periods of physical exertion derived from such activities as running, walking, standing, climbing.

Physical stamina, agility and strength are required for self-defense, defense of others, to pursue and apprehend and detain suspects.

DoD and DON regulations require at a minimum a periodic Physical Agility Test (PAT).

Police Officers undergo sustainment training in defensive tactics to include Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) qualification, handcuffing, baton, HEMI (if issued), and firearms qualifications which require physical strength.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in an environment which involves exposure to regular and recurring discomforts, such as variations in weather while performing patrols.

The incumbent may be exposed to high levels of noise in certain industrial settings, destructive weather or higher FPCONs.

The work involves moderate and high risks and possible endangerment of life or serious injury that requires the exercise of safety precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment {PPB) such as body armor, reflective vests, coats, gloves, helmet, boots, goggles, mask, shields, etc.
