The Public Relations & Marketing (PRM) Manager is the principal staff member for developing and maintaining public relations and marketing efforts for the University Career Center & The President's Promise (Center).

Serving as the primary storyteller for the Center and its distributed offices, the PRM Manager will develop, implement and evaluate a variety of marketing and outreach campaigns to inform and educate the University of Maryland community about the Center.

This position will supervise a team of undergraduate student assistants who contribute to the public relations, graphic design and videography efforts.

This position will report to the Associate Director and work in tandem with Career Events Coordinator.

Responsibilities include: Communications and Marketing * Serve as primary storyteller for the Center and its distributed offices * Develop, implement and evaluate a variety of marketing and outreach campaigns to inform and educate about the Center's mission, services and successes * Cultivate and manage virtual presence across multiple platforms (social media, website, career management system); set goals for and monitor analytics * Coordinate contributions to Center website, blog and other appropriate outlets * Lead center-wide cross-functional marketing committee to ensure promotion of Center priorities and initiatives Design and Creative Services * Oversee design services (graphic and multimedia) for the Center and its distributed offices * Develop and maintain Center's promotional and educational materials across all platforms * Work in tandem with Career Events Coordinator to manage Center's project request submission process and ensure broad range of staff needs are met with timeliness and accuracy * Create and monitor the Center's visual brand; ensure consistency across all materials and promotional items * Ensure compliance with UMD visual identity and trademark guidelines * Coordinate all in-house print production Supervision and Administrative * Hire, train, supervise and evaluate team of student assistants (media, graphic design, videographer, photographer, copy editor) based on current priorities and skill sets * Assist in the design, editing and production of Center publications, such as the Annual Report and Graduation Survey * Manage all in-house print production equipment * Manage marketing budget * Initial point of contact for media outlets * Serve on Department, Division and University committees, as assigned Outreach and Engagement * Coordinate and manage Center presence at promotional events including Open Houses, First Look Fair, Maryland Day, etc.
