Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the work of a Boiler Plant Operator without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: Indicating and recording instruments and flow meters and be able to correctly interpret the information gained for entry on an hourly log; Locating and functioning pumps, valves, regulators, gauges, instrumentation, fans, and other boiler plant equipment associated with clean, safe, and efficient boiler operations.

Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
