GS-7: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 Federal grade level performing duties such developing, examining, investigating, adjudicating, or authorizing claims arising under the nationality laws of the United States; responding to general questions pertaining to the Passport and Visa Program; and conducting routine research.nORnHave one full year of graduate level education (Major study - law or other fields related to the position to be filled).nORnSuperior academic achievement (in the upper third of your graduating class; received a 3.0 or 3.5, or higher out of a possible 4.0; or a member in one of the national scholastic honor societies).

(Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirement of the requirement of this position.)nORnHave a combination of both education and experience.

GS-9: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 Federal grade level performing duties such as developing, examining, investigating, adjudicating, or authorizing claims arising under the nationality laws of the United States; overseeing foreign travel, passport requirements for all Permanent Change of Station (PCS) and Temporary Duty (TDY) travel, entry visas justification, and application requirements are upheld and maintained.nORnHave a Master's or equivalent degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or a LL.B.

or J.D., if related (Major study -- law or other fields related to the position to be filled).

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.nORnHave a combination of both education and experience.
