This position is being announced under FEMA's Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program.

Thisis a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.nToqualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $67,437), you must posses at leastone full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-09) in the Federal Service.

This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience: Reviewing grant applicationsto ensure compliance;nConducting post-award monitoring activities to ensure funds are used according to regulations; andnInterpreting laws, regulations, and policies related to grant management.

or equivalent doctoral degree; orn3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; ornLL.M., if related Toqualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $80,830)you must posses at leastone full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-11) in the Federal Service.

This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience: Performing reviews, analysis, and assessments of financial management operations;nProviding input in the development of guidance and instruction to ensure effective grants program processes; andnApplying laws, regulations and cooperative policies related to grants management.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g.

Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
