You will serve as the Facility Space Planning & Design Criteria Manager in the Engineering Criteria & Program Branch, Design and Construction Business Line, of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current certification as a Certified Planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) for the 0020 series, current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) for the 0801 series or Architect (RA) for the 0808 series.

PE/RA registration may be in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.

You must provide a copy of your current certification/registration with your application.

The registration or certification must show the date of currency or additional documentation must be provided from the registration or certification agency showing the dates the registration or certification is current for.

In addition to the SPF and Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Aligning planning criteria with the design criteria program to anticipate and meet the mission and strategic requirements of the Agency; 2) Providing program management oversight of planning criteria to address its currency, cost effectiveness, need for updates, and associated funding; 3) Participating on and/or leading integrated product teams of planners, engineers and architects responsible for developing current and emerging technical requirements and criteria for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance associated with needs of supported commands.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
