The position functions as a Cost Estimator/Project Planner,developing scopes of work and time, cost, material, and labor estimates for projects within government controlled facilities.There is one position inthe GSA Public Buildings Service located in Auburn, WA.nWe are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11level or higher in the Federal service.Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level is experience preparing scopes of work and developing planning cost estimates for future complex, multi-phased construction projects of at least $250,000 in multi-story office buildings or large commercial complexes.
Estimating experience must include at least three of the following disciplines: architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, structural, or communications (phone, data, or alarms).
Experience must also include reviewing and evaluating contractor proposals; providing technical negotiations support; hiring Architect and Engineering services for complex projects; developing drawings for design and construction projects; and developing and maintaining a construction schedule.
