This position is located in the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Office of Railroad Policy and Development (RPD), Office of Policy and Planning, Passenger Rail Policy Division.

You will serve as the Amtrak Cooperative Agreement Senior Advisor, responsible for providing leadership on Amtrak Cooperative Agreement oversight and associated projects, including the development of policy frameworks for new terms and conditions to enhance oversight of current and future Agreements.

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include: Experience developing, analyzing, reviewing, and applying grants management policies, principles, and practices.nExperience coordinating work activities to further address the inclusion of new policies and goals associated with the oversight of the intercity passenger rail and commuter rail annual agreements.nExperience interpreting legislation, statutes and regulations associated with grants related to an intercity passenger rail, commuter rail, or transit project.nExperience communicating with senior executives and stakeholders to include federal, state, and local officials; to provide guidance, advocate, and represent an organization.
