Essential Function: This position reports to the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Enrollment The admissions counselor represents and promotes the college to prospective students, evaluates admissions applications, implements and explains University admissions policies Primary Duties: Representing CEAS at both on and off- campus admissions events, college fairs, and high school visits; a portion of this recruitment will occur in out-of-state recruitment territories Presenting at weekly College Close-up Presentations Creation of new presentations Establishing relationships with targeted high schools Acting as primary contact for prospective students and families Assisting in the development and distribution of communications with prospective students Keeping and maintaining accurate records of recruitment and yield activities Reviewing student applications for admissions and/or scholarship Counseling prospective students and parents through meetings, phone calls, and email communication Creating, planning, and executing small and large-scale events; other recruitment and yield related duties as assigned by the Director Direct interaction and collaboration with faculty members who support the office’s initiatives Collaborate and communicate with other CEAS and UC offices, included but not limited to Advising, Facilities, UC Main Admissions, etc.
Proficiency in data tracking, queries, and reporting Assist in supervision of student workers Liaison for the CEAS Student Ambassador Organization Website management Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related area with one (1) year experience; - OR- Associate’s degree with three (3) years’ experience; -OR- five (5) years’ experience.
Experience must be in university admissions and/or counseling high school or college students or related field.
Requires a valid driver’s license and/or passport.
