What General Information Do I Need To Know About This Position? Open to current or former Federal employees: SOL-2020-0051.Salary: GS-13 $102,663(Step 01) to $133,465 (Step 10); GS-14 $121,316 (Step 01) to $157,709 (Step 10);NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired atthe Step 01.nThe Departmental Ethics Office is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to join the Fish and Wildlife Branch.

GS-13nIn order to qualify at the GS-13 level, you must meet one of the following:n--Possess 1-year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.

To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.

Examples of GS-12 level work may include: providing advice and recommendations to key agency officials on policies and procedures that concern conflict of interest status and regulations, standards of conduct, ethics program policies, and other ethics related matters; administering and managing an organizational ethics program,providing counsel to officials regarding statutory prohibitions under government-wide standards of conduct; reviewing and evaluating financial interest reports and overseeing the resolution of matters dealing with conflicts of interest; managing an electronic financial disclosure system and the public financial disclosure reporting process; communicating with filers; assisting other ethics officials with questions that arise during their review of employee financial disclosure reports; assisting in the development of informational materials to explain the laws, regulations and policies that govern the financial interests of all Bureau employees.nGS-14nIn order to qualify at the GS-14 level, you must meet one of the following:n--Possess 1-year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.

Examples of GS-13 level work may include: Overseeing and providing policy guidance on the full range of Ethics and Financial Disclosure reporting activities, implementation of federal standards of conduct and government ethics laws and regulations; analyzing ethics issues for compliance and/or potential violations; developing technical training materials for non-technical staff; experience in teaching ethics rules and their application to special or unique circumstances that are relevant to a variety of employees.nYou must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
