This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Apply critical thinking in multiple scientific fields to develop solutions to answer questions that are not well defined.
Incumbent must be familiarized with: software testing, computer science, system administration, database administration, and data analytics.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal service your resume must display at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing the following duties;n1.
Developing new testing methodologies in support of electronic systems for military use; ANDn2.
Analyzing patterns in data to be entered properly into a database with the suitable formats; ANDn3.
Utilizing programming and/or scripting languages for data manipulation.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, no substitution of experience is allowed.
ALL candidates must possess the Basic Educational Requirement to be considered for this position.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
accredited college or university.

I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in computer science.nORnB.
I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.nORnBasic Education Requirement- Operations Research Analyst- 1515nA.
I have a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research.

I have a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
