This position is located in Everglades National Park, in the Resource Management Division.nThis is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years, or more based on any changes to regulations governing the number of years term appointments may last, without further competition.
Term positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service.

To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess the basic education requirement and at least one of thenfollowing minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: Basic Education Requirement: Successfully completed a full four-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline closely related to biologyn-OR-nCombination of education and experience.
Education must include successful completion of course work equivalent to a major (at least 24 semester/36 quarter hours or school equivalent) in an accredited college or university in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline closely related to fish and wildlife biology; PLUS experience directly related to the position being filled and/or additional related education.
The quality of the combination of education and experience must demonstrate that you possess the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of the position to be filled and equal 100% of the requirement when combined.
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience includes activities such as:(1) carrying out control efforts for invasive species; (2) generating and summarizing information form natural-resource management projects; (3) training and leading others to conduct natural-resource management.
You must include hours per week worked.n-OR-nEDUCATION: Successful completion of at least 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.
degree or Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as biological science, natural resource management, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines.
