Responsible for the software design, development, testing and maintenance of software development projects for Kiwanis InternationalESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Software Development TeamWork on the software development team to meet sprint goalsMentor and coach level I software developersParticipate in daily stand-up meetings and other meetingsCollaborate effectively with development team, scrum master International OfficePosition ResponsibilitiesWork on the software development team to develop quality software for Kiwanis InternationalGuide the level I software developers in the creation of quality software products through a variety of learning environments including assigning professional development tasks, pair programming and attending team training sessionsMentor level I software developers on proper techniques for cleaning and refactoring codeMaintain overall consistency guidelines between all products, including adherence to Kiwanis family brand style guides and adherence to software development team best practicesProvide assistance to the level 3 software developers and the Kiwanis family as it relates to utilization of Kiwanis family technology products to build an active and engaged user baseMaintain integrity of software codebase so that the Kiwanis family of software products architecture remains secure, extensible and scalable by code reviews and approving pull requests from level 1 developersPropose and develop innovative software applications that delight and empower Kiwanis members and staffMaintain and increase knowledge of software development best practicesIdentify, clean and refactor existing codeDemonstration of and continual progress in professional software development activities including attending seminars, attaining certifications, attaining higher-level degrees, etc.Participate in daily stand-up meetings and report project and task status updatesResearch, propose and implement ways to improve existing or new software Computer Science or closely-related degreeSalesforce Admin I certifiedSalesforce Platform App Builder certifiedContinued professional development and/or academic education in software developmentExperiential Requirements:Four years academic and at least 1 year of professional software development experienceA minimum of two years problem-solving software application bugs and performance issuesMinimum of 1 year professional developer experience with Salesforce CRMFamiliarity with cloud platform and services architecture, major programming and scripting languages, and experience in implementing and supporting multi-lingual, multi-site, multi-user- based applications (experience with membership-based users a plus)At least 1 year of strong and demonstrated skills in writing secure software applicationsMinimum 1 year of experience with Extreme Programming (XP) techniquesMinimum 1 year of experience with Test-driven development (TDD)Minimum 1 year of experience working in an Agile/Scrum methodology/frameworkMinimum 1 year of experience using Jira, Confluence and BitBucketMinimum 1 year of experience using at least 3 AWS products and servicesAbility to stay
