This position is part of the Office of the Secretary of Interior, Office of Natural Resources Revenue, Coordination, Enforcement, Valuation & Appeals (CEVA), Appeals & Regulations located in Lakewood, CO.
NOTE: This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within the Office of Natural Resources Revenue.
At the GS-15 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level.
Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to (a) advising clients or senior level management on oil, natural gas, or coal issues; (b) advising clients or senior management on mineral revenues, or on federal, Indian, state, or local rule-makings; (c) interpretation and application of statutes, regulations, and case of law; (d) researching and writing administrative or judicial decisions, pleadings filed in court, or federal, Indian, state, or local rule-makings or comments on rule-makings; and (e) supervising employees or retaining and managing independent contractors.
Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
