We have a new opportunity for a creative radar engineer that is passionate about performing systems engineering and technical analysis of current/emerging radar and sensor systems in support of aerial and ground surveillance missions.

Key FunctionsLead/perform analyses of current and future radar and sensor systemsGenerate/apply results from modeling and simulation toolsFormulate data-based actionable recommendations and present to both technical and non-technical audiencesEngage with customers to analyze operational requirements, address radar/sensor challenges, apply sound technology solutions, and advance the state of radar/sensor system technology to benefit the sponsor missionDevelop additional project opportunities to expand the technical work programLead and/or contribute to the implementation and utilization of the Land Border Sensor Lab capability (define scenarios, perform data captures, interface with AI/ML test and development activities)Contribute to rapid lab prototyping, field testing, technical benchmarking, and modeling and simulation activitiesBasic QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering, Electromagnetics, Physics or related technical field8 + years of experience in radar/sensor analysisMust be a US citizen with a Top Secret ClearanceRequired QualificationsYour radar / Sensor experience must include several of the following areas:Applying the radar range equationFamiliarity with the concepts of radar cross section, clutter, gain, loss mechanisms, probability of detection and false alarm calculationsRadar propagation analysis in a variety of operational channelsSpectrum issues related to radar operation and relocationVarious radar designs including Bistatic/Doppler/Monopulse/Passive system designParabolic/phased array antennasFixed/rotating/planar designsAdditional capabilities must include:Able to lead/contribute to engineering trade studies, performance analyses, architecture design and evaluation activities and similar effortsCustomer engagement skills, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsPassionate about staying up-to-date with emerging technologies through continued learning, active engagement with academia and industry, and a desire to remain hands-on.Enjoy working in a collaborative team environmentApplicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationMust possess a Top Secret Clearance
