Serves as Manager, Maintenance Support Group, reporting directly to the Director, Aircraft Maintenance.

Incumbent is responsible for the execution of maintenance under 14 CFR Part 135 Air Operator Certificate, as well as the execution of certain engineering functions under the Flight Program Operations Organization Designation Authorization (ODA).

OPM Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Technical and Medical Support Positions, Individual Occupational Requirements for Engineering Technician Series and Supervisory Qualification Guide.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for this position at the FV-K (or GS/FG-15) level, applicants must have at least 52 weeks of Specialized Experience equivalent to the (FV-J or GS/FG-14) level in the Federal Service that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience may include but not limited to: directing and coordinating resources to provide maintenance on highly modified aviation platforms, experience in oversight of an aircraft/avionics maintenance program in accordance with established standards, federal aviation regulations, policies, practices and procedures; and/or experience leading maintenance technicians in achieving goals and objectives in a certificated flight program environment.ANDSelective Placement Factor: This position requires an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.

ANDSelective Placement Factor: Qualified applicants must have experience serving as 14 CFR Part 119 Director of Maintenance on a 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135 operating certificate for at least one year.ANDSelective Placement Factor: Qualified applicants must have 3 years of experience within the past 6 years maintaining aircraft with a gross weight in excess of 12,500 pounds as a certificated mechanic.Applicants should include examples of Specialized Experience in their work history.
