The first cut-off date is 11:59 pm (EST), May 9, 2022 To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.

Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

(Includes blueprint reading) Measurement and Layout Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment Knowledge of Materials To be considered qualified for this Carpenter position, you must possess the qualifying work experience, as well as the identified selective/screen-out factors, outlined in this announcement and referenced in the occupational assessment questionnaire attached to this announcement.

No specific length of experience is required.

However, your application must show sufficient experience and training to indicate that you can perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

In order to receive the appropriate credit for your experience and training, you should ensure that your resume / application package includes the specific dates of employment (month and year) and hours worked per week, as well as the pay plan / pay grade / hourly rate of pay / salary for each of the periods of employment / work experience that you reference.

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Handbook X118C http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/x118c/index.htm for the WG-4600 Wood Work Family.

For WG: Applicants must be physically fit and, as required in Office of Personnel Management Qualifications Handbook X118C, must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the elements listed in Section 25 of the Online Occupational Questionnaire to perform the duties of the position at the level for which they are applying.

A specific length of time and experience is not required; however you must be able to demonstrate the rough experience shown in your written application, that you possess sufficient knowledge, skill and ability to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.

Examples of experience for this position include: completing construction, repair, and modification tasks involving items and structures such as framework, rafters, concrete forms, walls, doors, finished paneling, staircases, trusses, beams, where accuracy, spacing and fit are essential and structural soundness and appearance are important.

Perform carpentry (construction, rehabilitation, installation, and assemble) work using advanced shop mathematics and by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and building codes.

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

You must meet level 2 on the screen out factor/element and an average of level 2 on all factors/elements.
