You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:To qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent in scope and effect to the GS-14 level.Specialized experience:A thorough and comprehensive professional knowledge of and understanding of Federal tax statutes and regulations pertaining to Subchapter C corporations, Subchapter S corporations, and partnerships with assets greater than $10 million; or 2) At least 4 years of professional legal experience related to complex litigation involving large multinational corporations.

(Complex litigation includes litigation work on complex issues such as tax, antitrust, intellectual property, or securities).

In addition, specialized experience requires a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of litigation strategies, including the ability to apply sound judgment in developing and assessing settlement options/interests of stakeholders.

Familiarity with the procedures used in LB&I case work is desirable.

Candidates must be admitted to practice law before the highest court of a state or territory of the United States; the District of Columbia; or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.nOne year oflegal experience plus three years of professional legal tax experience refers to full-time work after admittance to the bar.

Part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.nExperience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through Volunteer Service.nGS-15: You must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
