PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS)

You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

To Qualify for GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with nuclear and non-nuclear production methods, technical procedures, materials and equipment required for shipyard maintenance, repairs and overhaul of nuclear Navy vessels.

Experience with preventing production delays, scheduling conflicts and lack of sufficient material and instructions.

Experience with material acquisition, storage, issue, hazardous material procedures, kitting and delivery.

Experience working with diverse entities within the organization to ensure project completion.

Experience reading and interpreting TWDs, processing instructions, specifications, Nuclear Power manuals, technical manuals and work requests.

For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with repairs and overhaul of nuclear Navy vessels.

Experience with preventing production delays.

Experience with material acquisition, storage, issue and hazardous material procedures.

Experience working with diverse entities within the organization to ensure project completion.
