- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field- 4 Year's specialized experience proving detailed knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to successfully perform this position.- Experience that demonstrates minimum of 4 years knowledge of a wide range of safety and occupational health concepts, practices, procedures, techniques, standards, orders and directives.- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct and evaluate a viable safety and occupational health program encompassing maintenance and repair shops; hazardous material storage sites, food handling, buildings, fields; recreation and industrial equipment; and functional activities.- Working knowledge of building design and construction practices related to architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical fields sufficient to identify actual and potential hazards and to recommend the application of specific safety measures to correct unsafe conditions.- 3 year's prior experience perofrming mishap investigations, analysis and identification of causal factors to minimize unsafe practices, procedures and conditions; or to achive preventative recurrences.- Ability to communicate orally and in writing to effectively prepare and present reports, briefings, investigations and presentations to all ranks/levels of the organization and affiliated agencies.
