You will serve as a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Planner in the Environmental Division of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

This interdisciplinary position will be filled as one of the following job series: Community Planner (0020) or Natural Resources Specialist (0401).

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing documents in accordance With the National Environmental Policy Act or the California Environmental Quality Act, such as categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, environmental impact statements or environmental reports.n2) Interpreting environmental regulations and providing technical advice and guidance.n3) Implementing environmental law, policies and regulation (e.g.

knowledge of Section 106, the Endangered Species Act and the Coastal Zone Management Act).n4) Preparing scopes of work and government estimates.
