Position is located in the Technical Services Branch, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD) in Sterling, VA.

You will serve as the technical expert responsible for the Geographical Information System (GIS) program for the Park Roads and Parkways Program, including the development, operation and management of the GIS.

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience described below.

You will be asked related questions as part of your application, but you need to verify how you meet the specialized experience in your resume or you may be deemed ineligible.Please review the following information before proceeding with the application process:nFor theGS-13:nOnExperience,you must have at least one year of experience, equal or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level,which included: Experience using engineering software programs, such as 3D Computer-Aided Design (CADD) software, Design Visualization and Geographic Information System (GIS); ANDnExperience coordinating engineering design services, feasibility studies and technical assistance in highway improvement projects, engineering constraints, and tight timelines.

You cannot substitute education at this grade level; you must have experience.nFor all types of consideration,experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
