Joining the Secret Service, Office of Enterprise Readiness, Administrative Operations Division, Vehicle Fleet Branch, as a Vehicle Fleet Specialist, will allow you to develop new methods and procedures while analyzing the impact it will have on the vehicle fleet program, policy, operation and budget.

ThisVehicle FleetSpecialistposition starts at a salary of $72,030 (GS-11, step 1), withpromotion potential to $112,240 (GS-12, step 10).

You qualify for the GS-11 level (starting salary $72,030) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level performing duties such as: providing fleet management advisory services to management; analyzing and reporting data from an asset management system(s); assisting in managing a fleet management program in accordance with Federal Management Regulations; and monitoring status and progress of work schedules ORnPh.D.

or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; ORnCombining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-graduate school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.nYou qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $86,335) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level performing duties such as: providing fleet management advisory services to management; analyzing and reporting data from an asset management system(s); assisting in managing a fleet management program in accordance with Federal Management Regulations; and monitoring status and progress of work schedules.nNational Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.Qualifications Must Be Met: The qualification requirements listed above must be met by the closing date of this announcement.The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
