This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.

The incumbent of this position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist for the IT department at the Great Plains Area Regional Drug Dependency Unit, Winnebago NE.

This position is to serve as an assistant to the IT department supervisor.

The IT department supports the GPARDDU's medical and administrative applications that run on various servers and computers.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):nExperience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

GS-05 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:nGS-05- Have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management (Must submit copy of transcripts).nORnHave a Bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution which provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified in A.

above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks (Must submit copy of transcripts).nORnHave at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.

Examples include: Uses communication equipment such as computer systems, computer terminals, and utilizing data communications in order to survey, analyze, test, install, upgrade, and program.

Performs tasks such as wire crimping, wire stripping, cable laying, connecting and signal testing, and familiar with standard color codes for various types of cable.

Assists with the implementing of a Data Security Program for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems in accordance with the Computer Security Act of 1987 and Internal Controls to safeguard the integrity of the data transmitted on the telecommunications network.nORnHave a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position.

The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-05 grade level (Must submit copy of transcripts).

You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.

Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
